The Whole Idea
How did I get the idea of writing about reputation of any kind at
all? Truth is that I read a newspaper article about Jim Morrison earlier today.
There was drug abusing mentioned, alcoholism, arrests and more. Now, late Jim
Morrison is/was one of my favorite performers. He is in a group of people
“containing” Kurt Cobain, Dave Gahan, Johnny Cash, Amy Winehouse and more
people with certain attitude to their life. Their impact on popular music was
enormous, that’s for sure! But what does provoke famous people like them to
develop addictions mentioned, causes trouble with law and similar? So my idea
is to add people like them to my blog every now and then, describe why their
reputation was so notorious and more.

If my poetry can accomplish anything, then it is release people from the frames in which they see and think.(Jim Morrison)
Jim
Morrison Bad Reputation
First of all – is it fair to start paragraph with Jim Morrison bad reputation title? Is the whole aura around Jim Morrison really bad reputation? One of the most talented artists of his time was in fact a poet, shaman, rock idol and sex symbol. He was also a visionary and - as someone described him - mythical king lizard. Now, let’s take a look at some arrests that built Jim Morrison bad reputation.

Arrest
for assault took place at Inglewood California on January 23, 1966. Battery
charges took place against Jim as he got caught in some fight with one of his
friends and after he made up the story about killing the guy. That of course
also added some new tags on Jim Morrison bad reputation. But...was Jim a bad
person for what was happening to him?
There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors.

Notorious incident
took place on December 10, 1967 at New Haven Connecticut. Prior to arrest Jim was at the backstage,
having fun with some girl. Having fun with girls backstage was also part of Jim's bad reputation. A policeman – who wasn’t familiar with who Jim was –
insisted for couple to leave the place, but Jim resisted… Later at the concert
Jim – according to police – provoked the “the little blue man, in the little
blue cap” which consequently lead to stopping the performance and arresting Morrison.
Incident was of course yet another addition to his bad reputation. One can
believe that sometimes Jim was provoked deliberately, but that doesn't change
the facts.

Jim Morrison was
already notorious by then and his bad reputation was well exploited by the
media. The each year pace was also set and it did not take long for
Morrison to be involved in another incident. It happened in fact only 49 days
after “the little blue man,
in the little blue cap” too place, but it was already another year. Jim was
again arrested for public drunkenness at January 29, 1968 in Las Vegas Nevada.
He was also unable to proper identify himself and charges for vagrancy were
also applied.
Miami Florida was the
next unfortunate episode in building Jim’s bad reputation. This time it was a
whole big pile of charges that were pressed against Mr. Morrison – indecent exposure
(two counts), public profanity (two counts) and public drunkenness. Addition: lewd and lascivious behavior (felony
charge). It all happened on March 5, 1969. Jim Morrison seemed completely lost
at that point – dependence on alcohol took
over his life and along with the use of
other drugs and abusive behavior
he has been easy target for sensations
hungered media.
That same year – on November 11 - the last known arrest happened:
this time it was inappropriate behavior on a plane. Jim and
his friend were intoxicated aboard
and apparently harassed and touched
stewardess.
I'm interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos, especially activity that appears to have no meaning. It seems to me to be the road toward freedom.(Jim Morrison)
Jim sadly helped a lot – as they all do – in building
bad reputation, but he should not be remembered for his reputation, but for
other stuff…
Morrison was able to do it all, be he
could not live more than 27 years. Almost 42 years have passed since his death in 1971 but the singer and leader
of the legendary Doors remains one of the most enduring enigmas of our time. When the lead singer of The Doors was found
dead in a bathtub in Paris -
he was only 27 years old and apparently died of cardiac arrest caused by an excessive dose
of injected drugs.
It was a sad end to a short career, but also the beginning of something far greater- the legend of Jim Morrison. It sure is one of the largest and most mysterious legends in the history of rock'n 'roll.

Final
However, Jim is certainly not dead, until millions are listening to his music, until the words of his texts dull mysterious echoing in our heads, and as long as thousands of fans are visiting on his grave in the Paris cemetery named Pere-Lachaise (there are also graves of Moliere, famous philosopher Abelard , artist Marcel Proust, Frederic Chopin, Oscar Wilde, Max Ernst, Edith Piaf, etc ...). Did Jim built bad reputation around him? Hard to say; people adore him and his work!
Actually I don't remember being born, it must have happened during one of my black outs.(Jim Morrison)
